Orange-chocolate cake made from potato noodles

Potato noodles are versatile, even for sweet baking. This orange-flavored, dense chocolate cake completes an indulgent moment.

Ingredients:

  • 100 g potato noodles
  • 100 g yogurt
  • 100 g sugar
  • 50 g almond flour
  • 50 g wheat flour (you can replace with potato starch for gluten-free)
  • 40 g cocoa powder
  • 60 g eggs
  • 25 g butter
  • 1 g baking powder
  • 1 orange
  • Powdered sugar for decorating

Preparation:

  1. Grate the orange zest and squeeze the juice.
  2. Bring the orange juice to a boil, add the potato noodles and grated zest. Let it infuse for a moment.
  3. Grease a 24 cm diameter pie dish with butter or oil.
  4. Beat all the other ingredients together for 8 minutes in a stand mixer or a bowl.
  5. Fold in the orange-flavored potato noodles.
  6. Bake at 200 °C (convection 175 °C) for about 25 minutes. Let cool for 15 minutes before removing from the pan.
  7. Finish with powdered sugar and serve.
